Today's match is why there should be a penalty for the wrong picks. It takes all the excitement out of the comeback when you know it really doesn't change the score at all.
Yes but how will you implement it without making it too difficult for King Morgoth and company though? I personally think there should be a penalty for getting the positions wrong - 2 pts per wrong spot. You could even limit it to just the 1st and 2nd spots but that might be too much of a pain to program (plus it would get screwed by picks that have the same % for two or more characters).
Answer pretty much says it all. It's been enough of a pain to code everything and make sure it worked, the penalties would have made the scoring system a pain and there were too many exceptions to make it worth it. In an ideal world, we'd probably have some sort of penalty system but it wasn't (sadly) viable right now...
