Morgoth's Quickie Quick Questions! - Contest Day 10
1) Who takes second next round? Fox or Meta-Knight?
Fox, and I don't even see it being in contention. MK's going to hold up better than Falcon thanks to having a more dedicated fanbase outside of the Smash Bros world, but all that really means for him is that he'll be able to give Wario a run. I foresee Seph disappointing a touch again but still gathering almost half the votes while Fox slaughters, and Wario will hold a slim lead on third before collapsing in the day and letting MK roll over him.
2) "Do a Barrel Roll!" vs "You'll never defeat ANDROSS!" ?
Barrell Roll easily. But my personal favorite is
I admit defeat...
...IF THIS DOES NOT WORK!
3) 4-way match of the day : Fox vs Ness vs DK vs Zelos. Who do you take for 1st and 2nd?
Where the devil did Zelos come from? Anyways I'd take Fox over DK in a tight one, with Ness way behind and Zelos way way behind. I'd also take Fox over DK 1v1 as it currently stands, though I think it would be even closer than you'd see in the current format.
4) Oracle question: how tough is it to predict this contest, regardless of the scores.
It's incredibly tough, and the first five nights or so I was astonished to actually be moving UP in the rankings with how poorly I thought I'd guessed. Since then I've learned not to beat myself up when it looks like my score is going to implode, because my conservative style appears to be well-suited to this format to the point where even a really awful day only turns out an average day, relatively.
5) lol Wario. Alright, that's not a question but I can't stand him =P
I worked hard in the rally for him for the sake of Guru winner Rufus, so in that respect I was proud to see him meet expectations (sort of) and post a win here in 2007. But yeah, I'm not too much a fan of him personally, and I love playing as Falcon in SSB, so that upset would have still been cool.
