"Hey, Morgoth, that's what you get for keeping me out of your Top 10 list!"
The first of the former champions to appear on our list, Dilated Chemist was the winner in the Villain contest and also finished 5th in the original spring contest, the Best Game Ever contest. Unfortunately he was gone for the majority of SC2k5, and his attempt to defend his title in absentia got derailed thanks to Magus - he had submitted no prediction for a Squall/Knuckles matchup. However, he still managed to rank on top of the contest's final phase leaderboard. Additionally, his average score for 2005 was actually slightly higher than creativename's - if he hadn't missed a match, he might have been 2005 Player of the Year. We'll have to see whether DC's spring contest mojo works in this contest, which is a spring contest technically being held in the summer.
