As always in Gordon matches, I'm predicting a major lack of interest/very low vote total for tomorrow. With so many people not caring about either character, I think the match picture comes into play much more seriously than it generally does. With this in mind, I went out hunting for some kind of justification for the Gordon pick in my bracket. Here's what I found.

Yuck, ick, and meh. Some unrecognizable nerdy guy in an orange suit = 3 embarrassing losses. HOWEVER, let's not forget that there IS one time that Gordon has impressed us... And impressed us a ton, I might add. It was when he got this picture:

Ah, so make his face large enough to be recognized as the guy from the HL box shot, display the HL logo prominently, and suddenly we have a whole different story. Leon may be holding a gun tomorrow, but that won't stop Freeman from being the less non-descript of the choices for the first time.

Also, let's not forget that Leon needed a massive board push to make it into the Contest, and still only managed a 5 seed. A bigger push and a higher seed didn't stop Board favorites Lloyd and Kerrigan from disappointing, and I'm leaning toward Leon being closer to the Terra camp, rather than the Tifa.

But do I have the guts to risk my Oracle on this hunch? ...sort of.

I love Yoshi and all, but have a feeling that he isn't going to win THAT badly... The xstats say 71%, though I'm not really a huge xstat fan. I still say he'll get up to 74%, but if he gets more, then that's great!

CHANGE - Mario with 82.27%. 84 might be a bit high, but I expect an easily quadrupling. I could be way off though. Also, it seems Gordon didn't lose as badly as I predicted. Should have kept it at 60, but oh well.
