IMPORTANT ANOUNCEMENT

For roughly 48 hours, the website might be down, somewhat down, links might go missing, numbers might be all over the place, etc.... Daily Rankings (the ones directly on the main page of the site) will be up and accurate at all time. Everything else will definitely be unstable, as I found a few holes in the coding (and opened up a bunch more...). Once everything is done, complete team rankings will be available for everyone to see...

Match #2 Results
Suikoden 27.39%
Mega Man X 72.61%

The second match of the contest was a relatively uneventful one, as Mega Man X cruised to victory against the relatively obscure Suikoden series. Today 155 predictors picked Mega Man X to win, while a lonely 3 picked Suikoden. The consensus was Suikoden with 69.61%, and the average score was 44.13 points.

Best Five Picks:
1) outback - Mega Man X 72.56% (+49.95)
2) The n00b Avenger - Mega Man X 72.51% (+49.90)
3) and now I dance - Mega Man X 72.50% (+49.89)
3) Camden - Mega Man X 72.50% (+49.89)
5) yoshifan823 - Mega Man X 72.83% (+49.78)

Today's top prediction goes to outback, who has 11 previous top 5 predictions in his Oracle career. The n00b Avenger, a two time top-five finisher, has the second best pick of the match. Camden tied with and now I dance for the third best pick (0.01 points behind n00b Avenger), and yoshifan823 captures the fifth best pick.

Complete Match Ranking:
http://www.oraclechallenge.com/archives.php?contest=SpC2k6&type=match&match=2

Current Leaderboard:
1) The n00b Avenger - 98.85
2) StopPokingMe - 98.80
3) lol_internet - 98.42
4) fortybelowsummer - 98.30
5) swirldude - 98.19

Taking first place on the overall leaderboard is The n00b Avenger! With two great predictions on the first two days, The n00b Avenger is in great position to shoot for his third top 5 finish. In second place is StopPokingMe, who has picked up right where he left off last summer, when he finished the contest in third. In third is lol_internet, dropping two spots from yesterday but still maintaining a strong score. fortybelowsummer moves up from 7th yesterday to 4th today. And swirldude appears on the overall leaderboard for the first time in his Oracle career in fifth place.

Today we saw some big moves in the standings - the biggest gainer was outback, who climbed 70 places. Sephirot1 Returns and alpha door both climbed 69 places. The biggest fall belonged to SephirothG, who dropped 105 places.

Top Team Scores:
1) Team Happy Happyists - 99.60 (Camden: +49.89 / meche313: +49.71)
2) Team 48 - 98.99 (yoshifan823: +49.78 / BlAcK TuRtLe: +49.21)
3) Team 47 - 97.24 (StopPokingMe: +48.88 / fortybelowsummer: +48.36)
4) Team 50 - 96.45 (jonthomson: +48.38 / kaonashi1: +48.07)
5) Team Wii <3 Katamawii - 95.50 (Aprosenf: +49.41 / MegatokyoEd: +46.92)

Today's top team is the Happy Happyists (Camden and meche313), who must be really happy after scoring a combined 99.60 points. The second best team of the day was Team 48, with yoshifan823 and BlAcK TuRtLe, who came very close to scoring 99 points. In third is Team 47, the random collaboration between StopPokingMe and fortybelowsummer, who also appeared at the top of yesterday's top 5. The random team parade continues with Team 50 (jonthomson and kaonashi1) getting the fourth best score of the day. Team Wii <3 Katamawii (Aprosenf and MegatokyoEd) rolls up some points of its own and lands in fifth place for the day.

Complete Team Match Ranking:
Check back tomorrow

Team Leaderboard
1) Team 47 - 197.10 (StopPokingMe: 98.80 / fortybelowsummer: 98.30)
2) Team Happy Happyists - 194.31 (meche313: 97.19 / Camden: 97.12)
3) Team Double Red Card - 192.49 (Heroic Viktor: 97.92 / Darkash: 94.57)
4) Team 48 - 191.32 (yoshifan823: 97.05 / BlAcK TuRtLe: 94.27)
5) Team 53 - 190.76 (Sephirot1 Returns 96.33 / hero of time 43: 94.43)

Surprisingly for the second day of the contest, there is no leadership change in the team standings. Team 47 maintains its lead by getting the third best score of the day, and is starting to look like a very strong contender for the team title. The Happy Happyists parley their strong day into a second place spot on the leaderboard. Team Double Red Card (Darkash and Heroic Viktor) hold on to their third place position on the leaderboard. Meanwhile, two new random teams take over fourth and fifth - Team 48 with yoshifan and Black Turtle is in 4th, while Team 53, with Sephirot1 Returns and hero of time, is in 5th.
