The Top 10 SpC2k6 Oracle Challenge Contenders

The popular pre-contest tradition is back! It's the moment Dilated Chemist has been waiting for, as we're bringing you the top 10 contenders to the Oracle Challenge title! Although the Oracle Challenge is a game of skill, predicting who will do well in any given contest is a challenge at least as difficult as the contest itself. King Morgoth and I have used all the stats at our disposal along with our intuition to pick out the ten contestants to watch out for in the spring 2006 Oracle Challenge. I'll be posting them about one an hour or so over the course of the day.

Nintendo Boost + neck-up Tifa = Oracle underperformance"

Heroic Viktor, aka Tnote, made his impression on the Oracle Challenge during SC2k5. Demonstrating a willingness to go against popular opinion, Heroic Viktor took an early lead on day 4 and held it through day 16 of the contest. At one point he led his next closest competitor by 18.74 points, or over two and a half points per match that had been held at that point. He eventually dropped in the standings, and although his aggressive style cost him points in some matches such as Squall vs Vincent (Squall with 55.83%), he refused to give it up. This eventually paid off as he made a furious comeback in the final stages of the contest, and ended up finishing in 4th place. Heroic Viktor definitely has the potential to do well if his risky gameplan pays off.
