#5 - Xuxon
Finish: 1st Place - 45.06 average (31 matches)

Success! Here's a little secret - if you win the contest, you're guaranteed to be on my top 10 list for the next one. Xuxon justified that rule by coming back to win his second contest in a row. Xuxon managed to fly under the radar for a lot of the contest (where he hovered in the 6-10 range), but he moved up when it mattered, and didn't let go of first once he took it. I can't wait to see what he does next time around!

Prediction Grade: Hit

#4 - Camden
Finish: 7th Place - 44.74 average (31 matches)

One of the most entertaining parts of the whole contest for me was watching Camden and his race for 6th place shape up over the last 10 days of the contest. Although he ultimately fell short, I don't think anyone's going to count getting 7th against him in the long run. With this contest Camden may have established himself as the single most consistent Oracle competitor ever, as he's never finished lower than 9th or higher than 7th in four contests.

Prediction Grade: Hit

#3 - King Morgoth
Finish: 33rd Place - 43.65 average (31 matches)

The Spring 2004 winner showed occasional flashes of brilliance this contest, but his campaign was derailed by some questionable picks early on, and he was never really in contention. He did manage to pull things together in the second round though, and improve his ranking into the respectable range. The most successful part of his contest may have been his 6th place team finish. Now that he's gotten warmed up, we'll have to see what he can do in the big one - the upcoming Character Battle V.

Prediction Grade: Miss

#2 - kawaiifan
Finish: 15th Place - 44.37 average (31 matches)

Not every contest can end in a top 10 - even when you're kawaiifan, it seems. This was kawaiifan's lowest finish and the only time she's ever finished outside the top 10. By the standards kawaiifan's set this contest might be considered a disappointment, but for most competitors it would be a success. Finishing in the top 15 of the largest Oracle Challenge ever demonstrates once again why kawaiifan is the Oracle Queen. She also finished second in the team challenge, not a bad addition to her resume at all.

Prediction Grade: Near-Miss (would be a hit if you factor in her team finish)

#1 - creativename
Finish: 10th Place - 44.53 average (31 matches)

Creativename, the 2005 Player of the Year, just squeeked into the top 10 of the final standings, moving up 1 spot on the last day. Since this is the top 10 competitors list, a top 10 finish = success. Creativename started off in the "respectable" range of the standings, but was able to put together a successful second half run to move himself into the top 10.

Prediction Grade: Hit

Verdict:
4/11 (36%) of the people on our list made the top 10, compared with 10/180 (6%) of all competitors or 10/71 (14%) of competitors that predicted every match. I think that has to be considered a success, but we can definitely do better! Next contest I'm aiming for at least 5/10.
