things are getting really tight near the top again. 3rd through 13th place is separated by about 5 points:

- 3) Ness26 596.34 +0.00 -8.49 58.22%-
- 4) Aprosenf 595.85 +0.00 -8.98 59.25%
- 5) Draco1214 595.51 +0.00 -9.32 61.00%
- 6) cyko 595.15 +0.00 -9.68 58.92%-
- 7) Ngamer64 594.80 +0.00 -10.03 61.11%-
- 8) Kaxon 594.18 +0.00 -10.65 59.44%-
- 9) Luster Soldier 593.62 +0.00 -11.21 59.62%-
- 10) MegatokyoEd 593.59 +0.00 -11.24 56.68%-
- 11) Karma Hunter 591.27 +0.00 -13.56 57.37%
- 11) PeaceOut64 591.27 +0.00 -13.56 61.80%-
- 13) Rufus Shinra 18 591.13 +0.00 -13.70 66.66%

i'm really hoping Cortana can break 39%, though, or i won't be cracking the Top 5 today. almost everyone's picks were pretty close up here, too. tomorrow sure will be a different story, though. Chun-Li's picks vary from 57% to 80%.

My team's combined team score for today will be 97.62 points as along as Joanna stays in between 59.62% (my prediction) and 62.00% (Cokes's prediction). Hopefully 97.62 points is enough to make the Top 5 Team Scores list for today.

Do you get bonus points for getting a top 5 prediction? I was browsing through last matches stats and it listed some bonus points next to their prediction on the site.

Or is this just something else?

yeah it was very close... but you'll regain the lead tomorrow DSR. Your pick is slightly higher than mine so you'll get more points barring Chun somehow losing 13% over the day =P
The other 3 on the leaderboard will cut our comfy 10 point lead down to size though, so I'm feeling quite threatened, not confident in my picks... even Lara/Alyx is a crapshoot to guess percentage wise.

I'm with those that think banning pikaness for the contest was too harsh. I think he should've been given 0 points for the match and then allowed to pick future matches fine; that itself would've been a very harsh penalty, knocking him out of contention and ruining his averages. But, it doesn't look like it'll change now.

Though I'm very leery of disqualifying for a whole contest anyone who does this in the future. There's also the fact that one would have an assymetric incentive to try to squeeze in cheating towards the end of a contest.

Actually, looking at my history...

I had one pick over 45 points in the first seven matches, and that gave me 47 points. In matches 8-14, all were over 45 points, 3 of them over 49.

To the top, here I come! (ps Kasumi get Chun Li below 70 plz)

I agree with creativename except that maybe the penalty shouldn't be zero points for the match (doesn't seem harsh enough). Instead, take the score pikaness would have gotten with the cheat for that match and slap a negative sign in front of it. Then add that to the total score.

Why would a mod delete a pick? If it gets deleted, it should remain deleted... But that is a good question...

Anyway, this match will kill me... My pick is on the low side and will send me back down. It seems like I have one good pick followed by one back pick...

I've thought about that...it would be pointless to do since the mods have complete control over whether a message can get deleted. Good thing you can't mark your own messages for moderation or something, or else people might try posting messages that are borderline violations, then mark it when their change is for the worse. :P

I've wondered about that myself. If you post an obvious violation, it will probably get modded before the prediction could be added. A borderline violation has the possible chance of being overlooked as a violation when it's put into the queue. And you could always mark your own message with a different account of yours.
