In the second day of the Battle Royale, Mario failed to get any noticeable benefit at all from Samus's departure, and is unable to even make it close against Snake and Sephiroth. The plumber gets the boot today, making Link the sole Nintendo representative. The biggest surprise was probably Link's giant increase from the first day of the poll - if he pulls off any more of those, he'll have this thing pretty pretty much wrapped up before we even hit the finals. The consensus predictions today were Link 30.21%, Cloud 24.87%, Sephiroth 17.14%, Snake 13.75%, and Mario 13.89% - making this an upset, since Snake was expected to get a little less than Mario.

Almost shockingly, the same five people are on top today as yesterday, they just changed positions. PeaceOut64 moved up from third to take the lead. Karma Hunter held on to second place.
