It's counted as part of the BR and not the regular contest. It is a regular old match, but I didn't want to make people come back after 6 days later to predict an extra match - I figured we'd probably lose a lot of people. I also didn't want to keep the results up in the air for 6 days, it felt better to just make it separate.

22th on the overall results and 6th on the team overall results. Not bad. Too bad I couldn't carry my team as Camden did when I was sucking it up. This time, he didn't do as well, but the only thing I could do was get a 22th.
Though...I'll be fair with myself and say that I was on the Top 20 on most of the contest but fell in those last matches. This Oracle Challenge was as exciting and as great as the contests of past years, and a wild one also. Congratulations to Cyko who deserved to win (well, Salient as well) but Cyko was on top for a few matches and did extremely well with some of his bold predictions. DSRage did pretty good also, too bad he lost any faith he had when he made that unfortunate error.
Not let's keep predicting the Battle Royale!

31st overall and 8th for team. That's pretty good. Jeff had a nice push there at the end and once again, I vastly outperformed in the second half... Congrats to cyko as well.

My team placed 21 out of 48 this time vs. 39 out of 54 in the Series contest. My team only did better this time because I was the main powerhouse on the team.
In the future, I will have stricter restrictions in place on who can be my partner in the team challenge.

You finished 22nd and I would have finished a few spots below that, 24th or 25th probably, had I made a prediction in that one match, yet we still managed to finish 6th. Seems like a good end result to me.
Kudos to cyko for falling in less pits than I, and twodos, my new favorite word, to the K-Men for managing to have a name that insinuates that they suck now whilst simultaneously qwning everyone else.

For a poll that was thought to be so potentially unpredictable, there weren't too many surprises on the first day of the Battle Royale. Link won easily, as expected, and Cloud beat out everyone else by an even larger margin. The biggest surprise was probably how poorly Mario did, finishing below both Sephiroth and Solid Snake. We'll have to see if Samus's elimination benefits him enough to keep him alive on day 2.

I forgot to say it before but congrats cyko on your win. You were definitely due for one, the way you predict.
And Kaxon, you could almost add Draco to the list. He would have won had Jill gotten 28 more votes. I needed that plus two more "would have changed if I could get to my computer scenarios" to win. Not that I wasn't lucky as it was; I had at least 3 changes that were seconds after the deadline (like cyko) that would have hurt me had they counted.

In the second day of the Battle Royale, Mario failed to get any noticeable benefit at all from Samus's departure, and is unable to even make it close against Snake and Sephiroth. The plumber gets the boot today, making Link the sole Nintendo representative. The biggest surprise was probably Link's giant increase from the first day of the poll - if he pulls off any more of those, he'll have this thing pretty pretty much wrapped up before we even hit the finals. The consensus predictions today were Link 30.21%, Cloud 24.87%, Sephiroth 17.14%, Snake 13.75%, and Mario 13.89% - making this an upset, since Snake was expected to get a little less than Mario.

The third day of the Battle Royale turns out to be the closest one yet, with Snake and Sephiroth battling down to the wire to stave off elimination. They were separated by only 2 votes with five minutes left in the poll, but Snake managed a last minute surge to win by 56 votes. This is the first time since 2002 that a member of Clinkeroth has lost to an outsider in any form. The consensus predictions were Link 41.74%, Cloud 26.16%, Sephiroth 16.19%, and Snake 15.90%.

With one match left to go, Cloud benefitted less from Sephiroth's departure than many expected. The consensus was Link 44.34%, Cloud 36.24%, and Snake 19.17%.

After dominating the rest of the Battle Royale, Link cruised to his easiest victory over Cloud yet. Cloud's push throughout the day only managed to bring him up to 46% at the end, but still made him look a lot more respectable than he did in the opening hours of the poll. The consensus was Link with 53.41%, relatively close to the final result.
