Do you mean consensus predictions? There isn't a good place to look them up for the current contest, no. We should fix that.

That could be put on the match results page, like this one:

Team Mother Cat is a Landmine take 3rd for their 11th Top 5 of the season (Yes, they'll get 28 this year at this rate).

What does that mean? Is 28 the record from last year?
---
Today's prediction: Chief 48.20% - Raiden 27.89% - Kain 15.30% - Layton 8.61%
Status: hey, at least I got the order right... <_<;

I think he means that if you continue on the same top5/match rate, you'll end up with 28 top fives in the season.

And what about that guy who would have won the entire contest one year if that other guy's prediction change hadn't been 2 seconds after the 5 minute deadline? One would think we'd keep the stupid 5 minute rule just for the sake of that guy's sanity. >_>

Oh geez, I completely forgot about that. You deserved to win the contest more than anyone who hasn't, even GoldSlime.

Hopefully this change will prevent that from happening to anyone else. =P

A bit late but trying to answer a few things:
creativename | Posted 10/12/2008 2:59:40 PM | message detail

The average prediction for Lucas was probably well over double what he's actually getting. Which has to be some sort of historic thing, come to think of it.

14.31% vs 5.65%, that's a 153% overestimation, and yes it's even worse than the infamous LoZ/Adventure match (10.92% vs 4.80%)

It's been thought about for a long time, but the results pages are already pretty cluttered, still trying to figure out what we want to do with that...

89% for Layton in last match for Gaddswell? Is that a typo, or just a really bad pick?

Did slightly better than I thought yesterday.

Match # 26 Results
Master Chief 36.82%
Raiden 28.35%
Kain Highwind 25.42%
Professor Layton 9.40%

WTF Chief? Master Chief looked like his old chokey self yesterday, while Kain appeared more competitive than we ever thought a SNES FF character would be, although sadly not quite strong enough to advance.

Consensus:
Kain Highwind - 17.29%
Master Chief - 45.04%
Professor Layton - 10.00%
Raiden - 28.43%

Best Five Picks:
1) Yonex - Kain 24.00% - Layton 9.00% - Master Chief 36.00% - Raiden 31.00% (+48.67)
2) supdawg - Kain 26.55% - Layton 8.14% - Master Chief 39.06% - Raiden 26.25% (+48.31)
3) neonreaper - Kain 22.50% - Layton 10.00% - Master Chief 40.00% - Raiden 27.50% (+48.11)
4) KingBartz - Kain 25.45% - Layton 7.91% - Master Chief 41.34% - Raiden 25.30% (+47.72)
5) ECW RVD420 - Kain 20.25% - Layton 11.25% - Master Chief 40.25% - Raiden 29.25% (+47.16)

Yonex has the top score today, his first top pick ever and third top 5 of the contest. Supdawg is second, followed by neonreaper, making up the only three people to score over 48 points today. KingBartz is fourth and ECW RVD20 is fifth, each getting their 2nd top 5 of the contest.

Complete Match Ranking:
http://www.oraclechallenge.com/archives.php?contest=SC2k8&type=match&match=26

Current Leaderboard:
1) creativename - 1221.36
2) PeaceOut64 - 1220.14
3) Camden - 1219.81
4) kawaiifan - 1219.49
5) Xuxon - 1218.76

The boredom continues among the top 3, with no change in rankings again today. Below them, the former champs continue trading places... this time kawaiifan is up (to 4th) and Xuxon is down (to 5th).

Full Standings:
http://www.oraclechallenge.com/archives.php?contest=SC2k8&type=total&match=26

Top Team Scores:
1) Forclusion - 94.19 (Z1mZum: +47.11 / MartinFF7: +47.08)
2) Klonoa Alliance - 93.81 (raytan7585: +47.03 / amyvitality66: +46.78)
3) Citizens Of Delusion - 93.23 (Yonex: +48.67 / Eeeevil Overlord: +0.00)
4) Elderly Excellence - 92.89 (Alanna82: +44.78 / neonreaper: +48.11)
5) Anyone want to team with an Oracle has-been? - 92.87 (Darkash: +0.00 / supdawg: +48.31)

Despite the market rebound today, team Forclusion strikes again with the top score. This is Z1mZum and MartinFF7's third top 5 of the contest. Team Klonoa Alliance, no stranger to the team top 5 (28 appearances lifetime), takes second. Yonex gets a solo team top 5 for team Citizens of Delusion thanks to his top pick, even without Evil Overlord showing up, and supdawg does the same in 5th without his partner Darkash. Team Elderly Excellence falls in between those two with their 5th top 5 of the contest.

Complete Team Match Ranking:
http://www.oraclechallenge.com/archives.php?contest=SC2k8&type=teammatch&match=26

Team Leaderboard:
1) Team 31 (PeaceOut64 / The n00b Avenger) - 2437.74
2) Team Happy Happyists (Camden / meche313) - 2435.31
3) Team Mother Cat is a Landmine (Xuxon / GrapefruitKing) - 2433.25
4) Team Kirby (kawaiifan / Luster Soldier) - 2432.64
5) Team Predestined Divination (creativename / Ngamer64) - 2430.89

No changes in the top 11 today. Team Pornographique moves up three spots to 12th place, pushing down Team Carvey Elite imho, Team SPO*N, and Team Froussard.

Wow, I got two people on my tail right now. From a quick glance at their predictions, it seems like mine is just slightly better so neither of them will be jumping me later today.

My team is in good position to possibly jump over "Mother Cat is a Landmine", allowing my team to be in 3rd for the first time.

God I'm in such a bad mood by the horrible loss by my G-men (D-line, where the hell where you?? no pressure whatsoever, not even close! against perhaps the most hideous offense in the league! that was the most surprising thing about the game to me)

And now I find Leon is doing way to good for my liking.

Oh well, at least Dante could beat out Chief in this division, which I'd like to see. ...but not if he's hindered by Leon, which I guess makes Leon's good performance today even worse. Bah.

Uh... why does the system say that I gave Layton a prediction of an even 89%? >_>

Ah well, maybe I made a typo....

Still, I throw around decimals in all my predictions, so I'm not really sure what happened there for someone to end up with an even .00, let alone 89%.

Match # 27 Results
Leon Kennedy 42.36%
Riku 27.43%
Siegfried Schtauffen 16.80%
Captain MacMillan 13.40%

Impressive showing from Leon today, while Riku disappointed and performed more than 5% below expectations.

Consensus:
Captain MacMillan - 12.04%
Leon Kennedy - 36.87%
Riku - 32.72%
Siegfried Schtauffen - 18.37%

Best Five Picks:
1) kaonashi1 - Leon Kennedy 39.24% - MacMillan 13.78% - Riku 28.12% - Siegfried 18.86% (+48.43)
2) Team Rocket Elite - Leon Kennedy 43.00% - MacMillan 10.00% - Riku 28.00% - Siegfried 19.00% (+48.29)
3) Starion - Leon Kennedy 41.54% - MacMillan 15.13% - Riku 29.33% - Siegfried 14.00% (+48.18)
4) Menji76 - Leon Kennedy 40.69% - MacMillan 11.94% - Riku 31.42% - Siegfried 15.72% (+47.95)
5) Z1mZum - Leon Kennedy 40.00% - MacMillan 15.00% - Riku 30.00% - Siegfried 15.00% (+47.91)

The scores were on the low side today - kaonashi gets the top pick with a 48.43. TRE is second, for his third top 2 pick of the contest. Starion takes third, followed by Menji and Z1mZum. This is the first top 5 of the contest for each of those oracle regulars, but they have 24, 13, and 15 career top 5's respectively.

Complete Match Ranking:
http://www.oraclechallenge.com/archives.php?contest=SC2k8&type=match&match=27

Current Leaderboard:
1) creativename - 1267.47
2) kawaiifan - 1266.60
3) PeaceOut64 - 1266.10
4) Camden - 1265.92
5) The n00b Avenger - 1264.52

Creativename holds on to the top spot, but everyone else trades places today. The ever-dangerous Kawaiifan moves up two into second place, right behind creative. PeaceOut drops one spot to third, and Camden also drops one spot to fourth. We lose one former champ, but he's replaced by another one - The n00b Avenger takes Xuxon's place on the leaderboard while Xuxon drops to 7th today.

This contest's top 10 has been extremely competitive... right now we have 3 former champions (kawaiifan, n00b Avenger, and two-time winner Xuxon), another guy who came 5 seconds away from winning a contest (Salient), and two of the strongest and most consistent competitors over the years (Camden and creativename), plus several other people with very good records and one guy who's new this contest.

2) Carvey Elite imho - 94.96 (Team Rocket Elite: +48.29 / Xcarvengerx: +46.67)
3) Pesadilla iberica - 94.31 (ScorpionX3: +47.76 / linkhatesganon: +46.55)
4) Forclusion - 94.02 (Z1mZum: +47.91 / MartinFF7: +46.11)
5) Kirby - 93.73 (kawaiifan: +47.11 / Luster Soldier: +46.62)

Team Froussard (kaonashi and oneills1) returns to the top 5 for the first time in a while, and prevent Team Carvey Elite imho from getting their second #1 pick in 4 days, beating them out by just a hundredth of a point. Team Pesadilla iberica (ScorpionX3 and linkhatesganon) are third, followed by team Forclusion making their second top 5 appearance in a row, and Team Kirby in fifth. By some bizarre coincidence, this is exactly the 4th top 5 appearance this contest for all of these teams.

Complete Team Match Ranking:
http://www.oraclechallenge.com/archives.php?contest=SC2k8&type=teammatch&match=27

Team Leaderboard:

Match # 28 Results
Dante 50.08%
Hogger 16.82%
Ramza Beoulve 16.70%
Laharl 16.40%

Hogger! Another joke character advances, but this time it's due to Ramza looking like a complete chump more than anything else. I guess FFT on PSP didn't help Ramza much if he was barely able to stay ahead of Laharl...

Consensus:
Dante - 46.45%
Hogger - 15.75%
Laharl - 15.18%
Ramza Beoulve - 22.49%

Best Five Picks:
1) GoldSlime35 - Dante 50.00% - Hogger 17.00% - Laharl 15.00% - Ramza 18.00% (+49.26)
2) kaonashi1 - Dante 47.40% - Hogger 17.15% - Laharl 16.80% - Ramza 18.65% (+48.66)
3) SF_Clowns - Dante 46.75% - Hogger 17.25% - Laharl 18.25% - Ramza 17.75% (+48.33)
4) linkhatesganon - Dante 48.25% - Hogger 17.76% - Laharl 14.75% - Ramza 19.24% (+48.26)
4) mentalmike - Dante 48.00% - Hogger 17.00% - Laharl 15.00% - Ramza 20.00% (+48.26)

GoldSlime is back! His top pick today is his first one of the contest, but he now has 31 lifetime top 5 picks. kaonashi is second, and has 20 lifetime top 5's. They're followed by some guys who don't have nearly as many top 5's... SF_Clowns with his second, linkhatesganon with his first ever, and mentalmike with his third. Linkhatesganon and mental mike were tied today for fourth.

5) Griffonner - 94.41 (mentalmike: +48.26 / The Real Truth: +0.00)

Team Pesadilla iberica gets its second top 5 in a row, this time taking the top spot. Froussard also returns from yesterday's top 5 to claim second today. B8OraclePredixGods is third, followed by Team 31. There's a tie for fifth between the Happy Happyists and mentalmike, whose prediction was good enough to carry his team in the absense of The Real Truth. (I guess the real truth is that mentalmike's better than his partner!!)

Finally lol. Took long enough. Can't believe I won by so much.

Moved up 5 spots but my pick today is terrible so I'll lose them back. Oh well.

wait, how come I didn't get any points for yesterday's match?

Oh, it says I only made three picks for that day, but I definitely made four.

The bag actually has eyes drawn on, making it somewhat less of an inanimate object than the cube. I think you have your answer.

Sandbag has no chance of making it out of Round 2.

Match # 29 Results
Sonic the Hedgehog 36.83%
Sandbag 24.99%
Magus 24.80%
Commander Shepard 13.38%

The year of the joke continues... although Sandbag didn't look like the finals material some people thought he was, he still managed to make up a big lead on Magus and advance to round 2. He'll have to hope he can gain strength L-Block style if he wants to get any farther than that.

Consensus:
Commander Shepard - 11.56%
Magus - 24.33%
Sandbag - 23.62%
Sonic the Hedgehog - 40.60%

Best Five Picks:
1) Dilated Chemist - Magus 24.32% - Sandbag 25.98% - Shepard 13.34% - Sonic 36.36% (+49.50)
2) linkhatesganon - Magus 24.16% - Sandbag 24.64% - Shepard 12.66% - Sonic 38.54% (+49.14)
3) Janus5000 - Magus 26.70% - Sandbag 23.70% - Shepard 13.20% - Sonic 36.40% (+49.05)
4) meche313 - Magus 24.50% - Sandbag 24.00% - Shepard 12.50% - Sonic 39.00% (+48.91)
4) Alanna82 - Magus 24.00% - Sandbag 26.00% - Shepard 12.00% - Sonic 38.00% (+48.91)
4) Ed Bellis - Magus 23.00% - Sandbag 27.00% - Shepard 13.00% - Sonic 37.00% (+48.91)

Dilated Chemist gets the top pick today by a good margin, with 49.50 points. This is his second top 5 of the contest, 32nd lifetime. linkhatesganon gets second, for his second top 5 in a row. Janus is in third, and behind him is a three way tie for fourth between meche, Alanna, and Ed, all at 48.91 points.

Current Leaderboard:
1) creativename - 1362.73
2) kawaiifan - 1362.67
3) PeaceOut64 - 1361.81
4) Camden - 1361.08
5) The n00b Avenger - 1359.46

Once again there's no change in the leaderboard. We now have a tie for 6th, however, between Salient and Xuxon. We'll see who wins their struggle today!

Full Standings:

Top Team Scores:
1) Kirby - 97.08 (kawaiifan: +48.81 / Luster Soldier: +48.27)
2) Happy Happyists - 96.72 (Camden: +47.81 / meche313: +48.91)
2) Amazingly Oblivious - 96.72 (AmazingKirby: +48.41 / DpObliVion: +48.31)
4) Predestined Divination - 96.69 (creativename: +48.04 / Ngamer64: +48.65)
5) Battle with Gilgamesh = JENOVA - 96.65 (Janus5000: +49.05 / KleenexTissue50: +47.60)

Apparently today is the day of ties - in the team scores, there was a tie for second between teams Happy Happyists and Amazingly Oblivious. However, in front of them was the surging Team Kirby, who's been in the top 5 twice in the last three days, and just below the top 5 yesterday. Team Predestined Divination gets fourth and Team Battle with Gilgamesh = J-E-N-O-V-A takes 5th.

Complete Team Match Ranking:

Team Leaderboard:
1) Team 31 (PeaceOut64 / The n00b Avenger) - 2721.27
2) Team Happy Happyists (Camden / meche313) - 2719.30
3) Team Kirby (kawaiifan / Luster Soldier) - 2717.82
4) Team Predestined Divination (creativename / Ngamer64) - 2714.66
5) Team Mother Cat is a Landmine (Xuxon / GrapefruitKing) - 2711.80

OMG We have a change in the team standings! Team Predestined Divination passes Team Mother Cat is a Landmine in a big way, moving ahead by almost three points and taking over fourth place.

1) Kirby - 97.08 (kawaiifan: +48.81 / Luster Soldier: +48.27)

Now for my team to try and earn at least one third place and fourth place spot on the team top 5 list, since we've already gotten first, second, and fifth at least once.

neonreaper missed a percent sign on one of his predictions from yesterday:

http://www.oraclechallenge.com/boards/detail.php?board=8&topic=45835957&message=29186

So only three of those predictions are listed on the site, which also means he gets 0 points towards his score and team score.
